How to Apply a Student Vehicle Sticker (First-time/ New Application)

1.0    Application

The student must log the application through the Unified Customer Service (UCS) Portal. Please refer to the guideline provided below.

1.1.    Your Enquiry:
Please provide the following information:

1.1.1.    Student ID Number
1.1.2.    Vehicle license plate registration number
1.1.3.    Type of vehicle (car, motorcycle, etc.)
1.1.4.    Vehicle brand & model (i.e. Proton Persona)
1.1.5.    Colour of vehicle
1.1.6.    Contact number

1.2.    Supporting documents to be attached in the application:

1.2.1.    Copy of Student ID.
1.2.2.    Copy of valid Driving license.
1.2.3.    Copy of vehicle document (Grant or insurance cover note)
1.2.4.    Authorisation letter from the owner of the vehicle to use the vehicle on campus if:

1.2.4.1.    The applicant is not the owner of the vehicle.
1.2.4.2.    The name on the vehicle document does not match the applicant's name.

2.0    General Terms and Conditions
 

2.1    The vehicle sticker is non-transferable to any other vehicle or other individuals. Kindly apply a new vehicle sticker if your vehicle changed. Students are only allowed to apply one sticker for either motorcar or motorcycle.

2.2    You are required to abide by all traffic rules prescribed by the University and all traffic laws enforced by the Government of Malaysia. Please observe all traffic signs such as speed limits, no entry, one-way, etc.

2.3    Kindly park your vehicle at the designated parking areas only.

2.4    The consequences for breaching any of the traffic provisions are as follows:

2.4.1    Maximum fine of RM50.00;  and/or
2.4.2    Wheel clamping – A fine of RM50.00 shall be imposed and to be paid before the release of the clamping. In addition to that, another fine of RM50.00 shall be imposed for breach of traffic rules; and/or
2.4.3    Your vehicle sticker may be confiscated at the sole discretion of the Department Head, Security Services; and/or
2.4.4    Cancellation of vehicle sticker in which your name shall be blacklisted from applying a vehicle sticker and your vehicle shall not be allowed to enter the campus.

3.0    Other Terms & Conditions:

3.1    The sticker charge is RM2.00 each.

3.2    The payment should be made at the Finance counter, One Stop Centre or via online transfer as indicated below:

3.2.1    Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS CIMB Bank Account No: 8004852703.
3.2.2    For reference: Please indicate your Student ID and the title being payment of vehicle sticker.
3.2.3    Please attach the transaction/bank-in-slip upon settlement of the vehicle sticker in the UCS Portal.
3.2.4    Provide the UCS case number to the Officer on duty at the Security Counter, One Stop Centre for collection of the vehicle sticker.

3.3    Using other vehicles temporarily.

3.3.1    The vehicle sticker is unique for the registered vehicle only and it is not transferable to other vehicles.
3.3.2    Please obtain a temporary vehicle permit at the main entrance security counter.

3.4    If you wish to park your vehicle at a non-designated area temporarily

3.4.1    Prior approval should be obtained from the Security Services Department at Block O.
3.4.2    Requisition for the special parking permit should be made through the UCS portal with the following link:

3.5    Important Notes/Reminder:
 

3.5.1    It is the responsibility and accountability of the employee and/or the vehicle owner to adhere to the rules & regulations imposed by Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and the Government of Malaysia. The employee shall be liable for disciplinary action and accountable for any breach of the rules & regulations which may bring disrepute to the UTP image.
3.5.2    The student shall be construed as the owner and/or custodian of the respective vehicles.
3.5.3    UTP shall not be responsible and liable for any loss or damage concerning the student’s vehicle.
3.5.4    The vehicle shall be  parked at the owner's own risk.
3.5.5    Any vehicles are strictly prohibited to be left abandoned within UTP Campus without consent from Security Services Department and necessary legal action will be taken for this matter.
